Mrs. Josie Musser, 83, formerly of Auburn, died Sunday, Sept. 5 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Blaine Danks, in Waucoma, Iowa. She had been an invalid for the last few years, and suffered a stroke last Wednesday from which she did not regain consciousness.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Burnham funeral home by the Rev. G. E. Warinner. Burial was made in the Auburn cemetery.

Mrs. Musser, daughter of Ellis and Mathilda (Bodine) Billmeyer, was born May 23, 1860, in the Auburn community. Her parents came from Pennsylvania in 1856, taking up government land, northwest of West Union, which farm still is in the Billmeyer name. Since the death of Charlie Billmeyer three years ago it has been worked by a renter. Besides the parents, three brothers and seven sisters have preceded Mrs. Musser in death.

She and D. W. Musser were married Jan. 19, 1884, and they since then made their home on the farm at Auburn, known as Musser's mill. She resided there until she went to live at her daughter's home four years after the death of her husband February 1932. The farm now is the home of her son, Arthur Musser, and family.

A member of the Auburn United Brethren church, she was a consistent worker as long as her health permitted.

Relatives surviving other than the son and daughter are six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and three nephews.
