Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. October 13, 2007 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Elgin, Iowa with interment in the Elgin Cemetery, Elgin, IA for Eva Gertrude Page, 95, of Denver, Iowa, formerly of Elgin, Iowa, who died on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at the Denver Sunset Home, Denver, Iowa, following a brief illness.

Eva was born on December 20, 1911, rural Wadena, Iowa, to Myron James and Ella (Popenhagen) Moore.

Eva was united in marriage to Donald Page on January 31, 1934. One daughter, Shirley Ilene, was born to this union. Eva was a cook at Valley Community School for twenty-five years. She enjoyed baking, gardening and working in the kitchen. Eva loved spending time with her family and friends and taking care of Donald.

Survivors include one brother, Myron James (M.J.) and Norma Moore, Riceville; one sister, Ella Marie and Stan Paul, Portage, WI; one son-in-law, George (Jake) Howard Jr. (Gerry Wilharm); three grandchildren, Terrie (Randy) Thurm, Denver, Kevin (Debra) Howard, Horicon, WI, Tammy (Jeff) Rieckenberg, Waverly; seven great-grandchildren, Megan (Brandon) Smith, Ryan Thurm, Tony (Danette) Pint, Ashley Howard, Angela Howard, Lindsey Loy, Levi Loy and one great-great-grandson, Dalton Tonne.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald, on July 30, 1989; her daughter, Shirley Howard; two brothers, Cleo and Joy Moore; one sister, Vera Mabb and one grandson, Jeffrey (Donna) Howard.
