Levi Bird was discovered dead in bed Monday morning at 2 o'clock. At 12 o'clock he was awake and spoke to his wife and two hours later she discovered that he had breathed his last. He was born in Pennsylvania 71 years ago, and has been a resident of this vicinity for about 36 years. His first wife was Sarah Clark to whom he was united in marriage in 1853. By this union there were ten children, seven of whom survive him. Several years after the death of his first wife, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Hurlburt who survives him. He has been troubled with heart disease for some years and this doubtless was the cause of his death. Of his children, Jerry resides in Superior, Wisconsin; Hugh is located in North Platte, Nebraska; Clark resides near Aurora; Horace at Scott Center; Andrew south of this city; Sylvia Rathbun at Seton and Mrs. Mary Reed in this city. The funeral occurs today at 11 o'clock from the house, conducted by Elder Zabriskie. Interment at Otsego cemetery.
