Minnie May Jarrett, daughter of the late Almeda and William Crofoot was born on February 23rd, 1871 in Buffalo township, Buchanan County, Iowa. On December first 1938 she was stricken with her 5th stroke of paralysis and died at her home in Hazleton on December 7th, 1938 at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 14 days.
She was married to William Jarrett on September 19th, 1888 at West Union, Iowa. Three children, one son and two daughters, were born to this union.
She united with the Hazleton Presbyterian church on profession of faith on March 5, 1905 and has been a member ever since. One half sister and two half brothers and her husband preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her three children, Charles of Brandon, Mrs. Alice Mosher, Aurora, and Mrs. Pauline Vargason, Hazleton; one brother, John Crofoot, Wichita, Kansas, two half brothers, James Crandall, Marion, Iowa and Lou Crandall, of California, an uncle in Nebraska, 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church in Hazleton Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. Charles Rubenberg. The Bosshardt Funeral Service had charge of the funeral. Interment in Otsego cemetery.
