Rites Held For Miss Edna Trudo
Miss Edna Trudo was born on May 19, 1895, on a farm near Gunder, Iowa, in Clayton county, the daughter of Ormus and Huldah [Beucher] Trudo. She was baptized in the Christian faith in Fayette. All of her life was spent in this community. She lived on a farm with her parents in Grand Meadow township where she attended school and furthered her education at Clermont high school Upon the death of her mother in 1937, she moved into Postville, with her father where she lived until her death.
She has been in failing health for the past year and passed away at the Luana Rest Home on Friday, June 23, at the age of 72 years, one month, and four days. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lee Farmer, Clermont; one brother, Vern Trudo, Luana; also nine nieces and nephews together with several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother; father; her twin brother, Elmer, who died in 1906; and a brother Arthur who died in infancy.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 26, 2:00 p.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home with the Rev. Dick Harberts, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church, in charge. Burial was in Postville cemetery.
