Dr. R. J. Wilson, who has been seriously ill for the past week, passed away this morning about 8:30. The body will lie in state Thursday afternoon at the home, 516 North Frederick street, and the funeral services will be held Friday forenoon at 10:20 from the home.

Dr. Wilson was taken with the flu and this developed into pneumonia a few days ago. His decline from then until the time of death was gradual but rapid, and his life has been hanging by a slender thread for the past two or three days. He leaves a wife and one daughter, Mrs. Joy Thiele and one grandchild. Dr. Wilson has been in the practice of dentistry in Oelwein for a number of years and his friends are many. The sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved ones.
