Elsie Trudo

A funeral mass for Elsie Trudo was held Saturday, June 21 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Clermont. Rev. Karl Klein officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements.

Elsie Marie Trudo, daughter of Richard E. and Flora (Ziegler) McNally, was born July 18, 1900 in Emmet County, Armstrong, Iowa. She died June 18, 1986 in Community Memorial Hospital at Postville.

She attended the Pixler School near her home in Clayton County. She also attended St. Mary's Academy at Prairie du Chien, WI, majoring in music. She taught piano after her marriage. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Circle.

July 10, 1919 she was married to Elmer J. Trudo. They had four children. They began their married life in Clermont where Elmer was employed in the Brick Factory. They farmed for many years in the Clermont and West Union areas. They retired and moved to Fayette and then moved back to Clermont.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, who died Oct. 18, 1960, three brothers, Lloyd, Wallace and Richard McNally and a sister, Mae Krambeer.

She is survived by three sons, Richard of Clermont; Aldean and his wife, Nadean, of Rogers, AR; Eugene and his wife, Ann, of Marquette: a daughter, Madonna and her husband, Jack Droz, of Wellman; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Louis and Leo McNally, both of Postville, and a sister, Rose Mork of Pehrump, NV.

Casket bearers were her grandsons: Mike, Mark, Rick, Ron and Dan Trudo and David Droz.
