A pioneer Oelwein resident, Mrs. Clara Wilson, 82, died this morning at the home of her daughter in Illinois.
She was the widow of Dr. R. J. Wilson, who practiced dentistry in Oelwein until his death in 1926. Mrs. Wilson remained here until 1938, when she moved to Midlothian, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. She has been living with her daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Ora Wilson) O'Leary.
Last rites will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, in Hintz Funeral home. The body is being brought from Midlothian and will lie in state at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of services.
Burial is to be in Woodlawn cemetery where Dr. Wilson is buried. The Rev. Charles Mason will conduct the funeral services. Mrs. Wilson was active in Methodist church work when she lived in Oelwein and is believed to have been one of the earliest members at the local congregation.
