Ormus Trudo Is Interred Monday

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Schutte Funeral Home for Ormus Trudo, 83, who passed away at his home here September 22 following a few weeks of illness. The rites were in charge of Rev. Stranyard of St. Olaf.

Ormus Trudo, son of Edward and Agnes Trudo, was born on a farm in Grand Meadow township on September 18, 1867 and passed away at his home September 22, 1950 at the age of 83 years after a few weeks of illness.

On December 21, 1893, he was united in marriage to Huldah Beucher of Postville. She preceded him in death in November, 1937.

Most of his life was spent farming in this community until he moved to Postville where he resided until the time of his death.

Surviving are four children, Edna at home, Elmer of Clermont, Mrs. Lee Farmer of Postville and Vern of Luana. One son Arthur died in infancy. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Conley and Mrs. Mae Schuller of Postville, and two brothers, Joe of California and Alek of Mason City. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
