MRS. EDWIN (Anne M. Anderson) GUNDERSON

Anne Gunderson Interred Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Anne M. Gunderson were held Monday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m. from West Clermont Lutheran Church, Clermont, with the Rev. Clarence J. Johnson officiating. Schutte Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gunderson died at Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Friday, May 14, 1971.

Anne M. Anderson, daughter of Martin and Ingabor Thompson Anderson, was born on a farm in Paint Creek Township, Allamakee County, Iowa on October 30, 1889.

Anne was educated in the rural schools near Clermont. On Labor Day in 1918 she was united in marriage to Edwin Gunderson. The couple made their home on a farm north of Clermont. To this union were born three children: Anna (Mrs. Glen Kurth) of Luana; Emmett of Monona and Martin of Clermont.

Mrs. Gunderson was preceded in death by her husband on June 12, 1957, her parents and one brother Gilbert Anderson.

She is survived by her three children; nine grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Amanda Hillygus of Cedar Rapids and two brothers, Ludwig (Louie) and Henry Anderson both of Elgin.

Burial was in Gods Acre, Clermont.
