Funeral services for Gladys Y. Johnson were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at West Clermont Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David R. Nelson officiating. Burial was in Gods Acre.

Mrs. Johnson, 89, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Palmer Lutheran Health Center, West Union, after a brief illness.

She was born May 28, 1912, at Clermont, the daughter of Ole and Martha (Kloster) Peterson. She and Clarence A. Johnson married May 23, 1942, at Clermont.

Survivors include one son, Dean (Bonnie) of Clermont, and a sister, Sadie Erhardt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence; two brothers, Charles and Eli Peterson; and one sister, Irene Hansen.
