LLOYD MONROE AANES

Funeral services were held for Lloyd M. Aanes on Saturday, October 10, 11 a.m. at the West Clermont Lutheran Church in Clermont. The Rev. Donald Loots officiated. Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in God's Acres Cemetery, Clermont.

Lloyd Monroe Aanes, son of Ole and Hilda (Ostlie) Aanes was born December 6, 1894 at Clermont. He died October 6, 1987 in the Good Samaritan Center at West Union.

He was baptized and confirmed at the East Clermont Lutheran Church. He attended Woodland School and graduated from the Postville High School.

March 8, 1917 he married Clara Erickson. They had 6 children. They farmed in the Clermont area all of their lives.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Clara, who died July 25, 1951, one daughter, Jean Anfinson, two brothers, Elliott and Almer, three sisters, Alma in infancy, Clara Halverson-Sticken and Amy Hovland.

He is survived by four sons, Lyle, Clermont, Earl, Fayette, Gerald, Davenport and Keith, Edmond, Oklahoma; one daughter, Mrs. Ray (Clarice) Gass, West Union; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Casket bearers were Robert Aanes, Steven Aanes, David Aanes, Doug Aanes, Tim Berry and Gary Kleppe.
