MRS. HANS O. (Marie Stinerson) SANDVOLD
 
Funeral services for Marie Sandvold were held Wednesday, October 8, 1986 at 1:30 p.m. in the West Clermont Lutheran Church at Clermont. The Rev. David Johnson officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in God's Acres Cemetery at Clermont.

Marie Sandvold, daughter of Nels and Nina (Nelson) Stinerson, was born May 15, 1901 in Clayton County, near Gunder, IA. She died Sunday, October 5, 1986 at Portland, OR.

She was baptized June 5, 1901 at the home of her parents. On May 21, 1916 she was confirmed at the Marion Lutheran Church in Gunder. She attended the local rural school near her home.

On August 25, 1928 she was married to Hans. O. Sandvold at Decorah, IA. Hans was employed by the railroad and they lived in the Ossian and Clermont areas. They raised a son, Morris Wolfs and a daughter, Inez Wolfs Reeck.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hans, who died September 18, 1970, and five sisters: Josephine Gilbert, Nora Hansen, Gena Anderson, Ruth Hansen Johnson and Alma Wolfs.

Surviving are a son, Morris Wolfs of Cypress, CA and a daughter, Inez G. Reeck of Portland, OR, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Casket bearers were Stanley Hanson, Norman Gilbert, Merle Anderson, Gene Anderson and Thor Hansen.
