Final Rites For Charles Wedo

Funeral services for Charles Wedo, 81, Decorah, were held Monday, Nov. 28, 1983 at 1 p.m. at Decorah Lutheran Church. Sensor-French Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Charles Ernest Wedo, son of John and Agnes (Koesling) Wedo, was born Aug. 31, 1902 in Baker, MN. He died Friday, Nov. 25 at the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital.

Charles Wedo was educated in the Clermont Schools and also lived in Postville and Barnesville, MN. He worked at Groth Pack and was employed as a farm laborer for various farmers.

He was a member of the Lutheran church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Duane, Waukon, and Charles Jr., Postville; a sister, Mrs. Ernest (Florence) Holt, and a brother, Louis, in infancy.

He is survived by four children: Louis, Decorah, Robert and Laverne, Postville, and Mrs. Leslie (Betty) Flack, Castalia, 22 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren , a brother John A. Wedo.
