MRS. GLEN JAMES (Alice H. Lyngaas) NYGAARD
Funeral services for Alice H. Nygaard, 74, were held Saturday, April 19, 1980 at 1:30 p.m. at the West Clermont Lutheran Church in Clermont. The Reverend Allan J. Stoa officiated. Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in God's Acre Cemetery.
Alice Nygaard, daughter of Engebret and Anna (Olson) Lyngaas, was born January 16, 1906 in Grand Meadow Township, Clayton county, Iowa. She died April 17, 1980 at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville.
She was baptized and confiirmed at the East Clermont Lutheran Church. She was married to Glen Nygaard, Nov. 25, 1935.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Helmer Lyngaas.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Glendal) Pittman of Fullerton, Calif. and Mrs. Richard (Pauline) Hoth of Cedar Rapids; and four grandchildren; a brother, Ewald Lyngaas, of Clermont; and four sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Gudrun) Osmundson of Postville, Mrs. Vernon (Eleanor) Anderson and Mrs. Leona Griebenow, both of Clermont, and Mrs. Albert (Thelma) Tinderholt of Greene, Iowa.
