Norma G. Finders
ARLINGTON (Special) - Former Arlington resident, Norma G. Finders, 85, died of natural causes Wednesday, March 25, 1998, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo.
She was born March 27, 1912, in Fayette County, the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth McCann Ernst. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1930. On June 10, 1937, she married Charles I. Anderson at Galena, Ill. They later divorced. She married Harold J. Finders on April 17, 1971, in Waterloo. He died Aug. 23, 1991. Mrs. Finders served 25 years as deputy clerk for Black Hawk County Municipal Court, retiring in 1975.
Survivors include one sister, Lola M. Graham of Maple Valley, Wash.; a stepdaughter, Eileen Rust of Murchison, Texas; and five step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; two brothers, Robert and Wendell Ernst; and a stepdaughter, Suzanne Fuller.
Services were held Tuesday, March 31, at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home, Waterloo, with committal service at Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein. Memorials may be directed in her name to the donor's choice.
