Cecil Raymond Clendenen of 533 5th Ave. NE, Oelwein, died Tuesday afternoon at Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters in Oelwein.
Clendenen, 65, was a canned milk hauler for 27 years and owner and operator of Clendenen Moving and Storage for the past 35 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge and the Men's Bowling Association, and was a veteran of World War II.
Funeral services will be held Friday at the Grace United Methodist Church in Oelwein with the Rev. Paul Somerville officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Brant-Kerns Funeral Home in Oelwein.
Surviving are his wife, Mardelle Clendenen of Oelwein; two sons, Jack Clendenen of Oelwein and Jerry Clendenen of Boone; four grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Susie Clendenen of Oelwein; two brothers, John E. Clendenen of Oelwein, Harry Clendenen of McCatskill, Ark.; and three sisters, Mrs. Glenn (Bessie) Heitter of Oelwein, Mrs. Hazel Reid of Indianapolis, Ind.; and Mrs. Leo (Marjorie) Kerns of Hazelton.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and one sister.

Note: Cecil was born November 4, 1917 in Oelwein, died January 25, 1983 and laid to rest January 28, 1983.
