John E. Clendenen, 90, of Bella Vista, Ark., formerly of Oelwein, died Monday afternoon, April 19, 1999, in his daughter's home in Bella Vista after a long illness. Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, by the Rev. Ervin Hesterberg. There will be no visitation. Inturnment: Woodlawn Cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, Shirley Swanson of Sand Springs, Okla., Bonnie Murphy of Bella Vista, Ark., Joyce Rovner of West Des Moines and Mary Ann Kenyon of Creston; a brother, Harry of Hope, Ark.; and three sisters, Bessie Heitter of Starwberry Point, Marge Kerns of Hazelton and Hazel Reid of Indianapolis.
