Susie A. Lane, 98, of Hazelton, died Wednesday, Jan 23 1985 at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein. Funeral services for the long-time area resident will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan 26, at the Brant-Kerns-Jamison Funeral Home in Oelwein. Rev. LaVerne Streich will officiate. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Floral Hills Cemetary. Survivors include two sons, John Clendenen of Oelwein and Harry Clendenen of McCatskill, Ark.; three daughters, Mrs. Glen (Bess) Heitter of Oelwein, Mrs. Leo (Marjorie) Kerns of Hazelton and Mrs. Hazel Reid of Indianapolis, Ind.; 32 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Clendenen, who dies in 1956, two sons, Fred and Cecil, and a daughter, Levada Rueber.

Note: Susie was born in Colesburg Iowa September 16, 1886.
