Chris F Rueber passed away at his home in Portland Friday afternoon, January 31 (1936), following a lingering illness. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 3:30 o'clock by Rev E. G. Wuest or Oregon City, from Gablis Funeral Home on 78th street, and internment made in Lincoln Memorial park. Mr Rueber was well known in Stanfield, having lived here from 1918 until 1925. He was born in Westgate Iowa, November 25, 1886. Surviving are his widow, two sons Melvin and Wayne, three daughters Viola, Marvel and Mrs Harold Christenson and two granddaughters, Jean and Patricia, all of Portland. Also eight brothers and one sister.
