CEDAR RAPIDS - Darlene Lovik, formerly of West Union, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids after a brief illness.
Funeral services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at Burnham-Wood Funeral Home in West Union. Burial: in West Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Darlene was born July 6, 1927, at Postville, to Gilbert and Edith (Bartels) Stockman. She married Leland "Bud" Clark and together they had four children (he preceded her in death). They operated a grocery store and skating rink in West Union. In 1988, Darlene married Gilman Lovik at Nashua. She worked for Rockwell Collins, retiring after 15 years.
Survivors include her husband, Gilman of Hiawatha; two sons, Ronald (Pam) Clark of Puxico, Mo., and Alfred Clark of Hiawatha; one sister, JoAnn Behnken of Colesburg; four stepsons, Jerry Lovik of Plymouth, Mark and Tim Lovik of Mason City, Doug Lovik of Colorado; five grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
