WEST UNION - Funeral services for Bertha Johnson will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Eldorado, with burial in the church cemetery. , Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union.
Mrs. Johnson, 86, died Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 19, 1997, at the Good Samaritan Home, Postville, after a long illness.
She was born in Ft. Williams, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Rudolph and Teckla Stecker.
Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Judith Biechler of Dubuque, and Joan (Kenneth) Miller of West Union; three grandchildren; and one sister, Frieda Peabody of Chandler, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. Fred in 1986; and one sister.
