WEST UNION - Funeral services for William Nutting will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at Burnham-Wood Funeral Home in West Union. Burial will be in the West Union Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today (Monday) at the funeral home. Mr. Nutting, 87, died Saturday evening, June 21, 1997, at Palmer Lutheran Health Center, West Union, after a short illness.
He was born Oct. 16, 1909 near Elgin. He married Doris Lyon on July 21, 1934 in Galena. Ill. Mr. Nutting was retired from the Iowa Department of Transportation.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; two sons, Jim of West Union, and Gary of Grundy Center; one daughter, Judy Sutter of West Union; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters.
