MAYNARD - Funeral services for Jean Conley will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Maynard with the Rev. Paul Wigtil officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Conley, 75,died at her home Sunday evening, Nov. 2, 1997, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Aug. 29, 1922, in Coggon, the daughter of Fred C. and Hazel (Schaeffer) Landis. She married Francis V. "Tom" Conley on Aug. 31, 1946, in Oelwein. She had worked at one time for the Durand Gazette in Durand, Ill., as a newspaper correlator. Mrs. Conley had lived in Pauls Valley, Okla., and the last eight years in Maynard.
Survivors include her husband, Francis ''Tom'' of Maynard; two daughters, Ruth (Roger) Morse of Pecatonica, Ill., and Marian (special friend Bill Peck) Cavnar of Oran; three sons, Robert (Lorraine) of Pauls Valley, David (Dana) of Janesville, Wis., and John (Linda) of Winnebago, Ill; and 16 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty.
