Vern Frieden
WEST UNION - Funeral services for Vern Frieden will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Fayette. Burial will be in the West Union Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at the Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union.
Mr. Frieden, 84, died early Sunday morning, Nov. 9, 1997, at the Good Samaritan Home in West Union, following a long illness.
He was born May 31, 1913, in West Union, the son of Jacob and Rose Meyer Frieden. He was a self-employed welder and machinist.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; three sons, Ronald of Fort Myers, Fla., Michael of Erda, Utah, and Martin of Elgin; three daughters, Mary Anne Hatch of Erda, Utah, Margaret Miner of Grantsville, Utah, and Melinda Engelbrecht of Lamont; 22 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lillian Kimball and Eva Mae Wescott, both of West Union.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Joyce (1942); one sister; Celia Durscher; and two grandchildren.
