Hershel 'Bud' Rich
LEBANON, Ore. - Hershel "Bud" Rich, 77, a Maynard native, died at his home in Lebanon, Ore., Tuesday, Feb 3, 1998, after a lengthy illness.
He was born March 16, 1920, in Maynard, the son of Leon Calvin and Bertha Payne Rich. He graduated from Maynard High School and attended Upper Iowa University in Fayette. He worked for many years as a construction engineer in California and Oregon.
Survivors include one sister, Georgia Jorgensen of Oelwein, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice; four sisters, Mildred Rothrock, Frances Wammack, Valeria Coope and Arlene Garner, and one brother, Hugh Rich.
Cremation services were held Friday, Feb. 6, in Lebanon.
