WEST UNION - Funeral services for Margaret Quam will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Zion Lutheran Church, West Union. Burial will be in Story City Municipal Cemetery, Story City. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday, at the Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union.
Mrs. Quam, 83, died Friday night, Aug. 15, 1997, at Maple Crest Manor, Fayette, after a long illness.
She was born May 24, 1914, in Esterville, the daughter of Thor and Emma Valen Sunde.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary (Dan) Burkhart of West Union; two grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Johnson of Scandia, Minn.; and one brother, Archie Sunde of Esterville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ernest, Oct. 1977.
