WEST UNION - Funeral services for Donald "Don" Stoessel will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14 at Bethel Presbyterian Church West Union. Burial will be in the West Union Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union.
Mr. Stoessel, 81, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 11, 1998, at the Good Samaritan Home, West Union, after a long illness.
He was born Jan. 14, 1917, in Ottumwa, the son of Albert and Edna (Mottet) Stoessel.
Survivors include his wife, Esther; two sons, Robert (Jean) of Arlington Texas, and Mike (Robin) of Sumner; five-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Francis of West Branch; and two sisters, Gretchen Peck of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Mary Ann Johnson of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William.
