ELGIN - Marie Joseph-Kuhar, 87, of Elgin, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at her home following a short illness.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at St. Paul's Methodist Church, Elgin. Interment: Chapel Hill Garden West, Elmhurst, Ill.
Friends may call: 4-7 p.m. Friday at Leonard Funeral Home, Elgin, and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
She was born Oct. 3, 1919, at West Union, the daughter of Delbert William and Jane (Jennings) Lyon. After high school, she moved to Chicago and married Edwin J. Joseph in 1943. Marie attended nursing school and worked as a nurse while living in Chicago where she made her home for 43 years. Marie married John Kuhar in 1974, moving to Elgin in 1984.
Survivors include her daughter Lezlee Patten of Lakewood, Ohio; a brother, LaVern Lyons; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; special caregiver, Ida Hilgerson and many friends.
