WEST UNION - Funeral services for Arlene Morse will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, at Zion Lutheran Church, West Union, with burial in the West Union Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union.
Mrs. Morse, 79, died Friday, May 15, 1998, at the Good Samaritan Home, West Union, after a long illness.
She was born May 6, 1919, on a farm near Hawkeye, the daughter of William and Dorthea Ohman Begalske. She and her husband, Wesley, were longtime area farmers. Mrs. Morse entered the Good Samaritan Home in 1995. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Wesley; one son, Rodney (Kristy) of Fayette; one daughter, Beverly (Richard) Weidemann of Hawkeye; five grandchildren; one brother, Merlin Begalske of Fayette; and one sister, Dorthea Brockway of West Union.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lionel Begalske.
