WEST UNION - Funeral services for Eva Mae Westcott will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at Bethel Presbyterian Church, West Union, with burial in the West Union Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union.
Mrs. Westcott, 79, died early Thursday morning, May 21, 1998, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo.
She was born Dec. 7, 1918, near Wadena, the daughter of Albert and Louise Meyer. She married Gene Westcott on Aug. 6, 1941, at West Union.
Survivors include one brother, Elmer Meyer of Elgin; one sister, Hilda Wolf of Clermont; and three sisters-in-law, Marie Meyer and Helen Frieden, both of West Union, and Irene Frieden of Clermont.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her foster parents, Jacob and Rose Frieden; her husband, Gene in 1977; one brother, Melbert Meyer; a brother-in-law, Fritz Wolf; foster brothers, George and Vern Frieden; and foster sisters and husbands, Celia and John Durscher, Lillian and Harold Kimball.
