Ray Murphy
WEST UNION - Ray Murphy, 71, of West Union, died at his home, May 27, 1998, after a long illness.
Private graveside services will be held Monday at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, West Union. Friends may call from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday at Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union. He was born May 25, 1927, to William and Elizabeth Miller Murphy.
He married Jeanne Thein in July 1951, at West Union. The couple divorced. He later married Nancy Brause at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, in 1971. Mr. Murphy was a truck driver for Elsheimers Meat
Company and Bemiss Distributing, both of West Union.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat Larson of West Union, and Kathie (Bill) Wolfgram of Fairbank; one son, Mike (Sue) of Mt. Horeb, Wis.; five grandchildren; two brothers, Leo (Dawn) of Plano, Texas, and Sam (Irene) of Waterloo; two sisters, Kaye Koehn of St. Paul, Minn., and Mary (Don) Greetan of Carlsbad, N.M.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy; and one brother, Charles.
