WEST UNION - Funeral services for Myrtle Paige will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at the Burnham-Wood Funeral Home in West Union. Burial will be in Illyria Cemetery, rural Elgin. Friends may call Friday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Paige, 99, died Monday morning, Aug. 25, 1997, at Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters, Oelwein, after a long illness. Survivors include one son, Robert of West Union, three grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olavus and Bertha Olson; her husband, Orville Paige; one son, Gerald; and two grandchildren.
