MANKATO, Minn. - Funeral services for Margaret Marie Lenius of Mankato, and formerly of Oelwein, were held Monday, Aug. 18, at the Landkamers Johnson-Boman Funeral Chapel in Mankato, with the Rev. Karl Rydholm officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein.
Mrs. Lenius, 74, died Friday, Aug. 15, 1997, at Immanuel St. Josephs Hospital, Mankato.
She was born May 5, 1923, in Fayette County, the daughter of Henry and Amelia (Hack) Pichelman. On May 7, 1983, she married Carl Lenius at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein. She farmed and worked as a cook prior to moving to Mankato in 1995. Mrs. Lenius was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing bingo, visits with friends and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Carl of Mankato; one son, Dale (Dianne) Phillips of Eagle Lake, Minn.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and two sisters.
