Myrtle Ione Voshell
OELWEIN - Graveside services for Myrtle Ione Voshell will be, 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, with the Rev. John Kerr officiating. The Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Voshell, 79, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 6, 1998, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, after a short illness.
She was born Jan. 31, 1918, in Strawberry Point, the daughter of Harry P. and Josie Myrtle (Scott) Wilson. She married Wesley L. Voshell on Sept. 18, 1934, in Oelwein. Mrs. Voshell was a homemaker and longtime Oelwein resident.
Survivors include six daughters, Mary (Wayne) Holtzman of Waterloo, Pat Cirksena of Oelwein, Nancy Bass of Waterloo, Vicki (Joe) Villa of West Union, Billie (Charles )Smith of Arlington, and Kathy Henkel of Oelwein; two sons, Lawrence (Darlys) of Waterloo and Ronald (Barb) of Oelwein; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wayne Wilson of Oelwein, Eugene (Evelyn) Wilson of Newton, and Harry Wilson of Waterloo; and three sisters, Nellie Shephard of Waterloo, Marjorie Williams of Whitttier, Calif., and Janis (Roy) Yeoman of LaCrosse, Wis.
She was preceded in preceded by her parents; her husband, Wesley; and infant daughter, Jo Mae; and four brothers, Leo, Alva, Dale and Walt Wilson.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
