Final Rites Held For Mrs. Anfinson

Final rites were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the West Clermont Lutheran Church for Jean (Aanes) Anfinson. The Rev. John Kronlokken officiated. Interment was in God's Acres cemetery.

Jean Lorraine (Aanes) Anfinson, daughter of Lloyd and Clara Aanes, was born December 12, 1921 and passed away on April 22, 1959, at Rochester, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at East Clermont Lutheran Church. In 1942 she transferred to the West Clermont Lutheran Church where she continued her interests and work in church activities as a member of the Mission Society and served as an officer of Pricilla Working Band for two years. She also taught Sunday School for several years.

Mrs. Anfinson attended a rural school and was a graduate of Clermont High school. Following graduation she was employed as secretary to the superintendent of Clermont schools. Later she was employed at Rochester.

On June 22, 1958 she was married to Kenneth Anfinson of Ossian. Their home was made with her father near Clermont.

Mrs. Anfinson was preceded in death by her mother and is survived by her husband, Kenneth, her father, Lloyd Aanes, one sister, (Clarice), Mrs. LeRoy Gass of West Union; four brothers: Lyle of Clermont, Earl of Fayette, Gerald of Little Rock, Arkansas, Keith of Ames; nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and friends.

Friends and relatives from a distance attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Leo Anfinson, Hopkins, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Verle Pugh and Calvin, Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Anfinson of Strawberry Point; Mr. and Mrs. Armin Ross of Fisher, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Alton Erickson and Wayne Erickson of Erskine, Minnesota; Mrs. Gladys Smith and David and Carol and Keith Aanes of Ames; Mrs. Myrtle Andrew, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Bertina Buraas and Mrs. Don Wilson of Ladora; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Aanes of Little Rock, Arkansas; Dr. and Mrs. A.M. Aanes of Red Wing, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Milo Halverson and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Frank of Spring Valley, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lien and Mr. and Mrs. Silas Hatlestad of LeRoy, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Marian Lind of Manchester and Mrs. Lawrence Klein, Dubuque.
