WEST UNION - Naomi Stewart, 84, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at Palmer Lutheran Hospital in West Union, of natural causes.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, Bethel Presbyterian Church, West Union. Burial: Long Grove Cemetery, Maynard.

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union.

Naomi was born Jan. 6, 1923, at Story City, to Otto and Agnes (Valen) Christensen. She was a bookkeeper at Nash Finch Co. in Waterloo prior to her marriage to Delmar Stewart on Aug. 11, 1946, at Fayette (he died July 1, 2006). They farmed near Randalia until retiring to West Union in 1988.

Survivors: two sons, Mark, Elgin, and Brian, West Union; two daughters, Sheila (Greg) Bryan, Westgate, and Sue (Tom) Sadowsky, Milwaukee; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mary (Rueben) Steffens, Clermont, and Ruthanne Crowe, Tyler, Texas; and one brother, Roger Christensen, San Francisco.
