SUMNER - Donald J. McGuire, 64, died early Saturday morning, Jan. 13, 2007, at Palmer Lutheran Health Center in West Union, following a lengthy illness.

Memorial services: 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, United Methodist Church, Fayette. Inurnment: Grandview Cemetery.

Visitation: after 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at the church. Becker-Milnes Funeral Home in Fayette is in charge of the arrangements.

Donald James McGuire, son of James and Belle Lawver McGuire, was born Oct. 7, 1942, at Oelwein.

On March 8, 1986, he married Judy Junge at Monona. Donald farmed for a brief time and later worked for 20 years at Iowa Turkey Products in Postville. He also worked for a time at Lau's Repair in Fayette.

Survivors: his wife, Judy, Fayette; one son, Jacob, at home; one daughter, Kim Duvel, Dubuque; one stepdaughter, Melissa (Layne Upton) Huston, Waucoma; one step grandson; two brothers, Eugene, Colorado and Daniel (Virginia), Clermont: and numerous nieces and nephews.
