WICHITA, Kan. - Funeral services for Brock Allan Thomas of Wichita and formerly of Oelwein, were held Aug. 15, at Central Community Church in Wichita. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery, Wichita. Brock, 15, died Aug. 11, 1997 after being hit by a car while bicycling in Wichita.
He was born Nov. 21, 1981, in Oelwein, the son of Kathie and Tim Thomas. In 1986, he moved with his family to Wichita. He attended Goddard Public School where he was to begin his freshman year this fall.
Survivors include his parents, Kathie Thomas and Tim and Robin Thomas, all of Wichita; one brother, Jason, at home; grandmothers, Karoll Williams of Harpers Ferry, and Beverly Thomas of Cedar Rapids; great-grandmother, Mabel Stone of Oelwein; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Vic Williams and Jim Thomas.
