FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla.-- Memorial services for Cynthia "Cindy" Renae Penhollow Reisen will be 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Shalimar, Fla., with the Rev. Brian Runge officiating. A service of memory will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Zion Lutheran Church, Oelwein.
Mrs. Reisen, 32, died at her home Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, after a long battle with breast cancer.
She was born Oct. 5, 1965, in Oelwein, the youngest child of Walter and Edith Penhollow. She graduated from Oelwein Community High School in 1984, then graduated from Capri Cosmetology College in Dubuque. On May 23, 1987, she married Richard Reisen in Oelwein. The couple lived in Shalimar and Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Okinawa, Japan while serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; four children, Richie, Ryan, Rachael and Randy, all at home; her parents, Walter and Edith Penhollow of Oelwein; three sisters, Pamela Nelson of Dubuque, Patricia Rogers of. Pensacola, Fla., and Linda Johnson-Schoning of Sheffield; and four brothers, Dwight Penhollow of Waseca, Minn., Bryce Penhollow of Hazleton, Royce and Jeffrey Penhollow, both of Oelwein.
Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 NE Racetrack Road, Fort Walton Beach, is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Shalimar.
