OELWEIN - Funeral services for Delbert Wayne Graf will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, at Christ United Presbyterian Church, Oelwein, with the Rev. John Kerr officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein. Friends may call from 2 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Graf, 73, died Monday morning, May 11, 1998, at St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a sudden illness.
He was born Sept. 12, 1924, in Manchester, the son of Raymond and Freida (Miehe) Graf. He married Erma Jean Monnahan on Feb. 18, 1951, at Hazleton. The couple farmed many years in the Aurora area before moving to Oelwein. Mr. Graf was a member of Christ United Presbyterian Church where he was an elder, Northeast Iowa Angus Association, Iowa State Angus Association, and the American Angus Association.
Survivors include his wife, Erma Jean; one daughter, Rhonda K. (Douglas) Salisbury of Hiawatha; three sons, Roger D. (Elaine) of Sioux City, Rodney W. (Margaret) of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Royce E. (Cathy) of Evergreen, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and one brother, Melvin (Ardith) of Oelwein.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Marvin. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
