Elaine Ameling --- WESTGATE -- Funeral services for Elaine Ameling will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waucoma, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m, Friday at the Waucoma Funeral Chapel where there will be a scripture wake service at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Ameling, 58, died Tuesday evening, Sept. 9, 1997, at Palmer Lutheran Health Center, West Union, after a long illness.
She was born Aug. 29, 1939, in West Union, the daughter of Raymond and Emma Hack. She married Alfred J. Ameling on June 11, 1957, at St. Lucas.
Survivors include two sons, Alfred, Jr. “Butch” of Davenport, and Dennis of the Quad Cities; her mother, Emma Hack of Winthrop; three sisters, Judy Hettinger of Brandon, Linda Phillips of Decorah and Trudy Hack of Winthrop; and one brother, Raymond Hack of Independence.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond, Sr.; her husband, Alfred; one daughter, Debra; and one brother, Ronnie.
