RANDALIA - Funeral services for Raymond Clarence Johnson will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the United Methodist Church, Randalia, with the Rev. Bruce Bane officiating. Burial will be in Long Grove Cemetery, Maynard. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Maynard, and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Mr. Johnson, 77, died Sunday morning, Nov. 9, 1997, at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home after a long illness.
He was born July 27, 1920, in rural New Cambria, Mo., the son of Charles O. and Merelean (Baker) Johnson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific. On Dec. 26, 1945, he married Dorothy Inez Arthur at Clinton. He lived in West Union for many years where he worked as a custodian at the Fayette County Courthouse 27 years, retiring in l982. Mr. Johnson then lived in Randalia from April 1989 to July 1992. In August 1992, he moved to the Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point. He was a member of the D.A.V. and. enjoyed traveling and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Fayette; one daughter, Sheila Johnson of Randalia; two brothers, Eugene of Leavenworth, Kan.; and Clyde of Macon, Mo.; one sister, Ruby Ervie of Bucklin, Mo.; a stepbrother, Gayle Stephenson of Macon, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Vivian Stephenson; and a brother, Carl Johnson.
