Robert D. Mullins
WESTGATE - Robert Dale Mullins, 76, formerly of the Westgate and Fayette areas, died Sunday evening, Feb. 8, 1998, at the state hospital in Clarinda from complications of Alzheimer's disease.
He was born Feb. 14, 1921, near Maynard, Fayette County, the son of William and Gertrude Blackburn Mullins. He attended Fayette High School. Mr. Mullins worked for many years in sales and also owned and operated a Prairie du Chien, Wis.,resort. He had resided at the state hospital in Clarinda since 1993.
Survivors include one sister, Esther Wright of Miami Shores, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and three sisters.
There will be no services held at the present time. Local arrangements are being handled by Becker-Milnes Funeral Home, Fayette.
