OELWEIN - Memorial services for Arlene Manley will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, with the Rev. Robert Dagit of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Mrs. Manley, 86, died Sunday morning, July 27, 1997, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, after a short illness.
She was born Jan. 15, 1911, in Sioux Falls, S.D., the daughter of Andrew and Maude (Searles) Jensen. She married James D. Manley on Aug. 31, 1966, at Preston, Minn. Mrs. Manley was a longtime Oelwein resident. She and her husband owned and operated the Uptown Cafe in Oelwein for many years.
Survivors include one cousin, Bonnie (Milt) Andrews of Sun City, Ariz.; and a sister-in-law, Virginia (Elmer) Leistikow of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James, Dec. 15, 1980.
A memorial fund has been established for the Arthritis Foundation.
