OELWEIN - Funeral services for Blanche B. Hart will be 11 a.m, Thursday, Sept. 4, at Christ United Presbyterian Church, Oelwein, with the Rev. John Kerr officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein. Friends may call from 3 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hintz-Geilenfeld Funeral Home, Oelwein, and one hour before services at the church Thursday. The Blaisdell-Barnes V.F.W. Auxiliary Unit 1725 will hold a service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hart, 99, died Sunday, Aug 31, 1997, at Oelwein Health Care Center, Oelwein, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 22, 1897, in Villard, Minn., the daughter of Clint and Ora I. (Gorman) Blaisdell. She attended school in Oelwein. She married John Kaltenbach in 1939. Mrs. Hart had worked at the Mental Health Institute, Independence, and at Connor's Department Store, Oelwein. She was a, member of Christ United Presbyterian Church and the Blaisdell-Barnes V.F.W. Auxiliary Unit 1725.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Eloise (Mrs. William) Kaltenbach of Hazleton; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; one son, Lloyd William; and a sister, Doris Conkey.
A memorial fund has been established for Christ United Presbyterian Church and Oelwein Health Care Center.
