OELWEIN - Funeral services for Dorothy E. Adams will be 11 am.Thursday, Sept.11, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein, with the Rev. Frederick C. Fangmann officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn
Cemetery, Oelwein.
Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, where there will be a parish scripture service at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Adams, 82, died Monday morning, Sept. 8, 1997, at Mercy Living Plus, Oelwein, after a lengthy illness.
She was born March 23, 1915, in Oelwein, the daughter of Joseph F. and Susan (Farni) Bahl. She married Myron H.Adams on Jan. 9, 1932,in Oelwein. A lifelong Oelwein resident, Mrs. Adams was a homeŽmaker and also worked at Raytheon, J .C. Penney's, and as a nurse's aide at Grandview HealthCare Center. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and rosary society.
Survivors include one son, Gene (Betty) of Oelwein; one daughter, Jan (Dwight) Wedemeier of Sumner; six grandchildren; nine great-grand- children; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded m death by her parents; her husband Myron, May 24, 1996; one brother, Frank Bahl; a sister, Isabelle Miller; and one grandson, Daniel Adams.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
