Mrs. Miehe, wife of Frederick Miehe died at her home June 13th, aged 47 years. She was born in Germany, came to this country in 1857. They first settled in Dubuque county, from there they came to Fayette County, Harlan township, where they have resided 11 years in the home where her death occurred. She was patient during her last illness and resigned to God's will. She was a member of the Lutheran church, and exemplary christian, kind mother and good neighbor. She leaves a large circle of friends, a husband and 12 children to mourn her loss.
