Koehler, Nicholas, farmer, Section 21; PO West Union; born Feb. 16, 1823, in Germany; in 1849 came to Kendall Co., Illinois; in 1855 came to his present farm; owns 185 acres of land, valued at $20 per acre. Married Catherine Raethel in July, 1849; she was born Jan. 8, 1832 in Germany; have four children --- Charlotte, George J., Annie and Lizzie. Are members of the Lutheran Church. He has been Road Supervisor abd School Director.
