Meyer, John H., farmer, Section 7 (Auburn township); PO Old Mission; born in Germany in 1809; came to this country in 1834, and settled in Pennsylvania, where he lived until `1850, when he returned to Germany and spent one year; returning, settled in this county on his present estate in 1854; has a farm of 240 acres, valued at $25 per acre. Married Mary Kremer in 1845; she was born in Germany in 1824; have eight children living ---- Mary, Carrie, Henry, August, Barney, Annie, Lizzie and Joseph; lost one child --Catherine, died 1870. Is one of the early settlers in the town, and are members of the Catholic Church.
